Found Shapes Patchwork Tutorial
Find Creative uses for your fabric scraps while learning how to create an abstract composition in this video tutorial and PDF workbook.
The Found Shapes Patchwork tutorial is perfect if you love modern, minimal aesthetics but struggle with designing your own composition. By using smaller squares and “found” shapes from your fabric offcuts, many of the creative decisions are made for you, freeing your mind while keeping your hands busy. It’s an excellent project to prep in advance for those days when you want to sew without thinking too much. Before long, you’ll have enough squares to create a larger-scale patchwork if desired.
You’ll learn:
How to select appropriate fabrics and colours
How to attach fabrics with raw edge appliqué
Basic Patchwork Construction
Layering a quilt sandwich
Approaches to quilting
Making your own binding
Attaching and finishing binding.
